Malefic Order – Raging Evil Desekration

malefic

Turkey’s Malefic Order have made a serious mark on my playlist this month. As manufacturers of fast and angry Black Metal, their debut album, released through Satanic Propaganda Records, entitled ‘Raging Evil Desekration’ does exactly what it says on the tin!

This is raging evil and it has enough about it to desecrate. Featuring hard screaming vocals, medium heavy guitars and an adeptly weighted production, it sets the benchmark for extremity in the Turkish scene. Its harsh unrelenting grumbling and often thrash-like riffing reminds me of some early to mid-nineties Scandinavian bands but holds an aggression all of its own.

All the eight tracks are about the four minute mark and they’re fairly generic if we’re being honest, but what carries the music so well though is the wild anger coursing throughout. As the cover suggests, it is a middle finger up to everything. You can’t help but get drawn in as the percussion hammers away in the style of turbo Black Metal nodding donkey oil pumps at the very well-head of pure evil.

Pulling no punches, the opener, ‘Eternal Curse of Blasphemy,’ drops you right in the midst of it. Fitting as a kind of satanic hors d’oeuvre it displays some catchy riffage and a thundering chorus and is a great appetizer for what is to follow. ‘Tortured in Profanity’ is a hellish rant and the all permeating severity it administers sounds fucking excellent.

Other highlights of the album are the stamping anthem ‘Possessed’ which I wager would totally destroy if you saw it live! Especially if the band got across even half of the rage that pours out of the speakers during the duration of the CD. ‘Hornfuck’ and its seriously spiky riff in the middle section and also the eight and a half minutes of their signature track finish the album off nicely.

Musically, Malefic Order range all over: fast chords, slower picked passages and melancholic sections to blasting holocausts. All the while the piercing banshee rages and drenches you in Turkish grimness. The singing is quality and persistently intense enough to make you feel uneasy. I imagine it’s a comparable sensation to witnessing your own skin, stretched taught, over the furniture in the window display of a store trading under the name of ‘Third Reich Upholstery’.

As I mentioned the production is spot on and for an underground album it is far above what you would expect. After a debut of this magnitude I expect this band is going to gain significant recognition and I believe that is thoroughly deserved.

Without a question Malefic Order is the best Black Metal band from Turkey where the Black Metal scene, actually the whole metal scene, is totaly fucked up and full of posers and retards. The middle finger on the cover actually is a fucking great answer to them. Raging Evil Desekration will take you to a little trip to the fucking deeps of hell. Not dramatically but full of fury, you will feel the torturous grasp of satan on your necks. Raging Evil Desekration is a must to have for all the underground Black Metal followers.

I still don’t understand when I hear about black metal bands in muslim countries.. the funny thing is that they are anti-christian as well.. if they have balls they should be anti-islam.. let’s hear them cursing the name of mohamed, I bet they’d be killed instantly by the mob.. as for music, sure, I like it..

    • That’s an interesting point Misanthrone. See if you can find one. I reckon its easier for bands in Christian societies to openly hate the predominant religion because these practitioners of faith aren’t prepared to kill for their beliefs.

If it comes I think a Muslim band doing such would already be living in Exile in a western counrty otherwise, as you said, they’d get seriously punished.

don’t expect that from muslims, they are fuckin’ cowards.. they treat their women like crap but they don’t have the guts to stand up and fight like men.. I hate them

Man, you are jumping on to conclusions without actually knowing anything about Turkey. Turkey is way different than the muslim countries you hear on your tvs and radios. Sure it is quite dangereous, but there are no mobs which hunt those who defile allah’s name. As for music here there are bands cursing the name of allah and muhammed, using the concept of bombing mosques etc. There are big organizations against islam as well. Me, myself got into a lot of fights on this subject but I am still alive.

As for Malefic Order, they have never stated that they are anti-christian. Look at their myspace page, look at their artworks. You will not see a single inverted cross. It is really stupid to be anti-christian in here, in fact it is also stupid to be anti-islam too. We are talking about anti-religion here, not specific religions. Malefic Order, with their lyrics, their attitude, has always been an anti-religion band. Satanism is not anti-christian, it is anti-religion. Malefic Order is against islam, christianity, judaism and any kind of satanism which has been turned into just another stupid religion.
